This is a newly created role where you will provide drill and blast engineering expertise to lead and direct detailed blasting design specification, planning and scheduling within our various open pit mines.

The main focus will be reviewing data to be able to design and implement improvements to our current processes.

Reporting to the Superintendent Drill & Blast, you will have demonstrated experience in the open pit drill and blast operations and would have previously worked within a similar role. You will have a degree in mining coupled with significant experience in a similar role in an open pit mining environment.

To be successful in this position , you will have excellent technical knowledge will be excellent within drill and blast activities, and have proven understanding of providing timely design information to key stake holder. You will have a high level of commitment to site safety systems and hold relevant engineering qualifications.
